It's a Halloween event like nothing
you've ever experienced. The historic village of Arrow Rock debuted
this new event in 2008 and returns with an encore of Spirits, Shadows
& Secrets on Oct. 24, 2009. Explore the
mystical side of Arrow Rock in a tasteful, family-friendly event that
has something for Halloween lovers of all ages. Wander through the
village (or hitch a ride on the haywagon) to visit your choice of
attractions that will include:
- Visits with the "spirits" of some of Arrow Rock's most famous (and infamous!) characters.
- True (and almost true) tales woven by professional storytellers.
- Presentations by real-life ghost hunters and paranormal experts.
- S'mores around the campfire.
- Candlelight tours of historic buildings.
- An old-fashioned school party with carnival games and a costume contest for children.
- Guided tours of the Sappington Cemetery (free Mo-X shuttle transportation will be provided -- we've doubled the number of shuttle trips from last year to meet the demand for this popular attraction!
- New this year: a spooky haunted trail that teens and adults will
love!
- Plus lots of other fun surprises.
Tickets
are just $10 for adults & $7.50 for children under 12. Children
under 2 are admitted free.
Advance tickets may be purchased online using your MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover Card or PayPal account, at select Arrow Rock merchants, or at the event entrance on day of the event.
Enhance your Halloween adventure with dinner at the historic (and haunted!) J. Huston Tavern, under the new management of Chef Liz Huff. Last year, supper tickets sold out well in advance of the event. To accommodate the demand, we're offering three dinner seatings in 2009 -- 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.! Enjoy an excellently prepared meal that includes your choice of fried chicken, baked chicken, or ham; delicious sides, salad or dessert and drink. Gratuity is included in your ticket price. Tavern diners will be entertained during their meal by authorities on hauntings. Many have reported ghostly sightings at the Tavern, so if you feel a little chill during dinner, it might just be one of the "regulars" passing by your table.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children under 12. Supper tickets must be purchased prior to Oct. 14.
